In 1972 Alabama Scale & Instrument, Inc. (AS&I) began as Scale Service Company, specializing in heavy industrial weighing and applications. In 1999, Alabama Scale & Instrument, Inc. became the company’s official name so as to better reflect the scope and depth of its operations. AS&I earned A2LA accreditation in 2000, having one of the broadest scopes of accreditation of any commercial lab in the Southeast. Accreditation by A2LA assures our customers, that not only do we have a registered quality system, but that we are competent to do the work listed on our scope of accreditation. AS&I provides NIST traceable calibration services with ISO/IEC 17025 documentation on all types of measurement equipment both in our labs as well as on-site. We strive to provide you high quality calibrations tailored to your manufacturing process. We help you achieve a balance between proper calibration, cost of calibration, and lack of down time. AS&I is aligned with major manufacturers and suppliers which has allowed us to offer the best products and competitive pricing to our customers. As a service founded and based organization, our emphasis is on quality first. This is reflecting in our achievement to represent some of the best known manufacturers in their respective industries.
